Cross Stitch Map continues

 

Europe is done, now I'm moved to China and stitching down Asia. It has been very easy, except those very tiny countries. If the country is smaller than 1/4 stitch it can't be stitched. Sorry. I still love smaller countries, too. X-stitching continues...

 

Eurooppa on tehty, nyt siirryin Kiinaan ja pistelen Aasiaa alaspäin. On ollut helppoa, paitsi noiden hyvin pienien maiden kohdalla. Jos maa on pienempi kuin 1/4 pistoa, sitä ei voi pistellä. Pahoitteluni. Pidän silti pienemmistäkin maista. Ristipistely jakuu...

Cross Stitch Map aka World Map in Cross Stitches

I have always wanted travel the world. This is a map printed on aida including wooded frame. Designed by Emma Royston for SUCK UK LTD. The map is originally meant for recording travels around the world. Including 2 needles and 4 small skeins of floss, only those 4 colours you see on the map now. Being in the middle of Siberia, I run out of red a skein, because Russia is so big and I'm going to use more colours because there are much more countries than 4. I counted I manage with 7 colours. Let's see.
This is easy and suitable for beginners, too.

I have the similar red in DMC, so no worries I'm back from Siberia in notime.

Olen aina halunnut matkustaa maailmalla. Tämä on aida kankaalle painettu kartta ja mukana tuli puiset kehykset. Emma Royston suunnitteli kartan SUCK UK LTD:lle. Kartta on alun perin tarkoitettu esittelemään matkoja ympäri maailmaa. Sisältäen 2 neulaa ja 4 pientä tokkaa lankaa, vain nuo 4 väriä, jotka näet kartalla nyt. Keskellä Siperiaa minulta loppui punainen tikka, koska Venäjä on niin iso ja aion käyttää muitakin värejä, koska maita on paljon enemmän kuin 4. Laskin että selviän 7 värillä. Katsotaan.
Tämä on helppo ja sopii myös aloittelijoille.

Minulla on samaa punaista DMC:nä, joten ei hätään palaan Siperiasta hetkessä.

Mother's Advice - Finished!

When I earlier wrote this has nothing to do with my life. It wasn't exactly true. When I was young my mom really said the first sentence, but didn't mention anything about horses.
And I have lived as my mother adviced - done anything I like. It's very liberating, of course I have tried to avoid hurting others.
Never know what I'll stitch next or what happens next.

Kun aikaisemmin kirjoitin että tällä ei ole mitään tekemistä elämäni kanssa, Se ei ollut ihan totta. Kun olin nuori äitini todella sanoi ensimmäisen lauseen, mutta ei maininnut mitään hevosista.
Ja olen elänyt kuten äiti neuvoi - tehnyt mistä pidän. Se on hyvin vapauttavaa, tietenkin olen yrittänyt olla satuttamatta muita.
Koskaan ei voi tietää mitä pistelen seuraavaksi tai mitä tapahtuu seuraavaksi.

Mother's Advice continues...

Very slow progress. I used to have a lot of time to stitch, it was years and years ago. Now I'm  a Sunday stitcher and don't always have time on Sundays either.
This pattern really don't have anything to do with my life, it was just a fun pattern to stitch - as I liked to start something after a long pause. To be continued.

Erittäin hidasta edistymistä. Vuosia sitten minulla oli runsaasti aikaa pistellä. Nykyisin olen sunnuntaipistelijä ja eikä minulla ole aina edes sunnuntaisin aikaa.
Tällä mallilla ei todellakaan ole mitään tekemistä elämäni kanssa, se oli vain hauska malli pistellä - kun halusin aloittaa jotain pitkän tauon jälkeen. Jatkoa seuraa.

Mother's Advice

This is an oldie. I don't remember any more where  or when I received this one. Because I have had so long break (again) in my stitching, I really had to start with something. This is small and funny and motherly advice is really something a mother would have given to her daughters in Victorian era or not. Soon you'll see.

Tämä on vintage kamaa. En enää muista missä tai milloin sain tämän käsiini. Koska olen (taas) pitänyt pitkän tauon pistelyissäni, täytyi aloittaa jollakin. Tämä on pieni ja hauska ja äidillinen neuvo on jotain, mitä äiti olisi antanut tyttärilleen viktoriaanisella ajalla tai sitten ei. Kohta näet.
